The social network will announce to each user in the United States where they can receive the dose of the vaccine

The popular social network Facebook announced this Monday that it will use the portal to expand information about the availability of the Covid-19 vaccine, the objective is to inform users of access to it.

In an official blog post on the network, the alerts are working thanks to the information provided by the governments and to date already in “almost twenty countries”, as well as in four US states (Texas, Utah , Alaska and Mississippi) and the measure is expected to cover all nations in the coming days.

Although the countries that already have the Facebook tool are not known in detail, it reported: “We will show a notification to people” so that they can contact the Department of Health of the place where they live or with our locator of vaccines.

The notification appears prominently at the top of the news channel of each Internet user of the text, followed by two links: one that indicates the place where to receive the vaccine and another to be shared in the user’s profile.

In the case of users who have the portal configured in the Spanish language, they will also be able to receive the message in Spanish and it can be shared in the same language and linked to other pages and resources that each state has made available to the public.
