Globant announces investments of 1,000 million dollars in Latin America

The technology company Globant announced an ambitious business plan in Latin America, with a five-year investment of 1,000 million dollars

Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digital native company focused on reinventing business through innovative technology solutions, announced a five-year, $1 billion investment plan in Latin America to bolster its presence throughout the region.

Among the various initiatives that are part of this investment plan, the following stand out:

  • A strong expansion in Brazil, where it will create a Center for Innovation in Emerging Technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing, in São Paulo. From this new Center, specialists will investigate possible new uses of these technologies so that Globant’s clients are better prepared to take advantage of these trends in the short and medium term. Particularly for the Brazilian market, this Center will develop new specific AI applications for Salesforce solutions, one of the pillars of growth for Globant in that country.
  • The evolution of proprietary products based on AI to accelerate software development and improve digital experiences. Globant X, Globant’s products and platforms division, will be in charge of continuing to develop products such as Augoor, MagnifAI, StarmeUp and GeneXus.
  • Deepen the commitment to regional talent with a hiring plan to add 20,000 new professionals over the next 5 years throughout the 30 development centers that Globant has in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and Uruguay.

“We were born in Latin America, one of the strongest regions in terms of innovation, talent and creativity in the world. Latin America is key to our growth as a source of continuous improvement of our global offer”, said Martín Migoya, CEO and Co-founder of Globant. “We want to expand our capacity for innovation and development of our AI-based offering, always with the goal of helping organizations stay relevant and leaders in the future.”

“Latin America is a fundamental market for the company, and we seek to continue deepening our operation in the region. In this sense, this new Innovation Center will promote the development of various technologies such as AI to accompany our clients in a world in constant evolution,” said Ignacio Iglesias, Globant’s Chief Business Officer for Latin America.
