The new models incorporate a new function that allows these video calls to be made through WhatsApp, in addition to Messenger, which is the application used to make them so far. “All WhatsApp calls on the Portal are encrypted from start to finish,” they say in the company regarding privacy. In addition, they include the Story Time feature that allows you to see stories with animation, music and augmented reality effects.

As a novelty, the new devices include the voice assistant Hey Portal which is currently only available in English in the United States and Canada, although they ensure that it will be available in other languages ​​later. For its part, all devices also have the Amazon Alexa Assistant integrated.
