In recent days there has been speculation that Trump could delay the launch of his candidacy after the Republican Party has not reaped a “red wave” in the midterms as many of its members predicted, and after the most extreme candidates have generally collected poor results in the elections.
However, the tycoon’s campaign adviser has stressed that the results of the mid-term elections do not have to affect the presentation of his candidacy for the Republican primaries, although he acknowledged that he suggested Trump delay the announcement until after of the second round in the race for the Senate in the state of Georgia.
The former US president announced last week that on November 15 he intends to make “a big announcement” at his Florida residence in Mar-a-Lago, which will presumably be his decision to run for the White House again. .
The decision, however, was questioned by some within the Republican Party, where Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has garnered support after his resounding victory over the Democratic candidate in last Tuesday’s election.
