Regulators in Japan seem willing to authorize Coincheck again to operate normally within the Asian country, after scandal that lived earlier this year.
In January 2018, one of the most important exchange houses in the world was the victim of a hack where it lost more than 532 million dollars in NEM tokens.
The Financial Services Agency (FSA) satrted an investigation process that strongly affected its reputation. Although what happened was not Coincheck’s fault, many of the clients lost large amounts of investments.
Despite this, the FSA seems to finally grant a license to the platform to work in the Asian country. The announcement is intended for the end of this year.
Upon receiving this license, Coincheck will be able to offer house exchange services again to its Japanese clients.
