China’s economy shows big signs of improvement

After the crisis experienced by the coronavirus, the situation of the Asian nation seems to have overcome the worst point of this 2020

Official data published by the National Statistical Office (NEO) shows that China’s economy has overcome the worst point of this 2020, showing signs of improvement.

According to statistics, the indices show an increase of 3.2% compared to those registered during the second quarter of this year, when the country experienced a delicate situation with the coronavirus.

The behavior shown is much better than expected by analysts, who predicted that the year-on-year comparison would generate a variation between April and June of 2.5%

As this is an exceptional situation like this, the comparison between quarters is better to illustrate what this data implies: if between January and March the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) contracted 10% compared to the last quarter of 2019, in this Second quarter of 2020 expanded 11.5% compared to the previous quarter.

In nominal terms, China’s total wealth in the first half of this year stood at 45.66 trillion yuan ($ 6.53 trillion).
