Crypto domains can be authenticated through Twitter accounts
The new function for authenticating both individuals and companies was created by blockchain startup Unstoppable Domanins in partnership with Oracle Network Chainlink
Companies and people who have registered crypto domains now have a new function that allows authentication through the account of the social network Twitter.
According to information provided in the media, the new function was developed in a joint effort by the blockchain startup Unstoppable Domains and Oracle Network Chainkink.
Authentication of “.crypto” domains is carried out through the MyEtherWallet application. The recent announcement indicated that the Chainlink network connects each Unstoppable Domains address to an account on the social network Twitter.
The opinion of companies in the cryptocurrency ecosystem has been favorable, as they consider that the function will help prevent crimes in payments with digital currencies as well as phishing since the user is visibly notified if the recipient of the funds is legitimate.
For his part, Kosala Hemachandra, founder of MyEtherWallet, has indicated: “Adding your Twitter identifier to your blockchain address provides a missing layer of transparency to make cryptocurrencies more secure.”
