Bitcoin falls below $ 50,000

The most important cryptocurrency in the world woke up this April 23 with negative figures, which are summarized in 12 % of the loss of its value

This Friday, bitcoin dawned in red, marking a decline of more than 12 % placing it below $ 50,000.

After having reached $ 64,800 a couple of weeks ago, the cryptocurrency is already 25 % below that value for the hour (approximately $ 47,800).

The rest of the cryptocurrency market follows this downward movement. Ethereum, which just yesterday reached a new historical maximum above 2,640 dollars, in the morning hours of this Friday fell to a minimum of 2,133 dollars, to return to 2,270 dollars which represents a fall of more than 9 % in less than 24 hours.

The correction in the cryptocurrency market comes after the president of the United States, Joe BIden, revealed plans to reform taxes on capital gains, which directly affect swaps with digital assets.

The White House is planning to double this tribute to 39.6 % for those whose earnings exceed one million dollars. This announcement also had an effect on the stock market, with the Dow Jones closing 1 % lower yesterday.
