Bitcoin ATM in Dubai was removed two days after its launching

Authorities made the decision because they did not agree with the security measures for the withdrawal of cash from the device

This week the first bitcoin ATM was opened in Dubai, a news that was well received by the cryptocurrency community of that nation.

However, just two days after its release said teller had to be removed from the Dubai wellness center, Rixos Premium Dubai JBR.

The authorities of the country did not agree with the users acquiring cash through the exchange with the cryptocurrency without going through security and anti-money laundering measures.

“After a brief meeting with the police yesterday, we temporarily suspended the ATM from its location, and we worked closely with the relevant authorities to restore it after we fulfilled all AML / KYC obligations,” said Amhora, the ATM owner.

This however will not be a permanent measure, given that the company assured through social networks that after the negotiations with the authorities are made the cashier will be put into operation again.
