Binance bans bitcoin purchases with bank cards in Latin America

The exchange platform merely says that payments with Visa and Mastercard will be disabled

The exchange platform Binance has issued a statement reporting the deactivation of the bitcoin purchase method with bank cards in Latin American countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The operators will not be able to acquire bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies with cards issued by banks.

According to what indicated by the company, the measure is due to the update in the list of countries eligible to market through this method, including 16 other nations in Africa and Asia, among which are Nigeria, India, the Philippines and South Korea.

Although it does not know the duration of this measure, the company authorizes nations such as: United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Norway, France, Germany and 27 other States to buy bitcoin with bank cards.

However, another statement is expected to be published in order to offer more details in this regard, as specified by a representative of Binance in an interview offered to the inews portal CryptoNews.

Although it is known that the operations of the exchange office were enabled for Argentine, Colombian and Mexican pesos, as well as Peruvian soles or Brazilian reals, it is not clear if these exchanges are adjusted or will be free of restrictions.
