Artificial inteligence could help end hunger in the world

The director of SZOIL said that a good use of technology could help eradicate this phenomenon from the world

The executive director of the Shenzhen Open Laboratory of Innovation (SZOIL), David Li, assured that artificial intelligence has the necessary potential to fight the hunger that is going through the world.

“African entrepreneurs have real problems that they need to solve urgently, they do not have time to invent things that will change the world, even though nobody needs it. Fortunately, there are also people who take the existing technology and integrate it to the real problems to obtain an effective solution, said the executive.

Nowadays, food security has become one of the most important challenges in the world. By 2015, some 800 million people were going through hunger or denigration processes.

Many of the people who suffer from this phenomenon are in Asia, although it is in Africa where this is most evident in view of the fact that one of every four inhabitants goes hungry in the continent.
