Kaspersky launches cryptocurrency protection systems

Kaspersky's new product portfolio offers protection for digital assets against various types of cybercrime

The rise of cryptocurrency adoption has increased cybercrime to seize these assets. Kaspersky is now making new protection products available to investors.

The leading cybersecurity software development company offers “protection against fraud such as cryptoscam or cryptojacking, and improves the defense of cryptocurrency wallet credentials.”

Currently, crypto clients have protection of their cryptocurrencies with the Kaspersky Standard, Kaspersky Plus and Kaspersky Premium plans. In this way they seek to prevent theft, fraud, kidnapping of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Security mechanisms range from notifications of unusual activity to blocking access to the platform with a notice to the user. Likewise, the unauthorized use of the equipment for cryptocurrency mining may be prevented.

Regarding data related to the wallets, such as “the password of the account and the seed phrase (series of words used to recover a wallet)”, it has been established that “access to the wallets cannot be recovered in the event of the loss of that information”, with the unfortunate loss of all cryptocurrencies.

Kaspersky has indicated that it also has secure antivirus and VPN, which increase the confidence of cryptocurrency holders by detecting the installation of malicious tools and packages, secure connection and access to the PC, blocking annoying ads, warning of unauthorized access authorized remotely, among others.
