Etheraz is oriented to tracking Covid-19 cases and Hayya focuses on tracking matches, tickets and free access to the Metro. However, once installed both have access to personal data, they can block access or release the screen lock remotely. Also, they can uninstall existing applications, make calls, delete photos that the authorities do not want shared, among others.

The measure has generated discontent in some selections. On the other hand, some specialists are apprehensive about downloading Ehteraz and Hayya, considering them to be cyber spies.
