Play Store celebrates 10 years of operation

Google announced the launch of the new Play Store logo in commemoration of its anniversary

Google announced that its Play Store digital content download platform has been in operation for a decade, an anniversary it celebrated by presenting a new logo and multiplying the so-called Play Points by 10.

The company introduced Play Points three years ago, a rewards program that allows you to earn points and obtain discounts, among other benefits, as you download and purchase in the virtual store.

Typically, Google Play Points allows you to redeem points for special items in games or for Google Play credit and multiplies up to four times more points during special events.

To celebrate 10 years in operation of Google Play, the company said that members of its community will be able to multiply by 10 the points they obtain with these actions.

This is just one of the measures that he has highlighted within the framework of this anniversary, a moment in which he also recalled that it was in 2012 when he opened the door to this service, which currently has more than 2,500 million users in more than 190 countries in all the world.

To complete this decade, Google presented the new logo of this store, with rounded shapes and more vivid colors, which adapt to the aesthetic line of the rest of Google products and services, such as the Assistant, Photos or Gmail.
