Sunacrip launches NFT for the Battle of Carabobo

The National Superintendency of Cryptoactives of Venezuela created the non-fungible token for the 200 years of the historical milestone of the country's independence

The National Superintendency of Cryptoactives of Venezuela (Sunacrip) recently launched a non-fungible token (nft) commemorating the 200 years of the Battle of Carabobo.

The superintendent, Joselit Ramírez, was in charge of announcing this launch through his official account on the social network Twitter.

“In the framework of the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Carabobo, we have immortalized our first NFT in blockchain technology, ratifying today 200 years later the victory achieved by the Liberator Simón Bolívar: Our Independence!”, the official wrote through the social network.

An NFT is a cryptographic token on the blockchain with unique characteristics that represents an asset in the digital world or tokenized versions of the real world.

The token was listed on June 24 on the ethereum-based Marketplace, Rarible. It was coined by an account called a consultant, belonging to a person called Óscar J. Rojas, from whom no further information about his link with Sunacrip was obtained.
