The American biotech company Moderna soared this Monday, November 16, on the stock market, gaining almost 11 % in the opening of markets.
After announcing that the vaccine it is developing against the coronavirus has an effectiveness of 94.5 % and meets the efficacy criteria required for its commercialization.
Moderna’s shares, which are listed on the Nasdaq in New York, stood at $ 99.05 10 minutes after the start of trading on Wall Street, a rise of 10.81 %.
The titles momentarily surpassed the barrier of 100 dollars in the initial minutes of the session, to later begin to stabilize somewhat below.
In a statement, Moderna explained that its vaccine against Covid-19 met the criteria established in the protocol to study its efficacy and that it will present the documentation for final approval in the coming days.
