Sunacrip warns of irregularities in the acquisition of petros

The instance urged to make use of the authorized platforms for the acquisition of digital assets and exchange of the same

The National Superintendency of Crypto Assets and Related Activities (Sunacrip) has alerted about some illicit acts registered in the new technological platforms developed by the Plataforma Patria, the Bank of Venezuela and the new exchange VEX, during the acquisition of petros and other crypto assets.

The information was released this Saturday through a statement issued by the public body, where Sunacrip specified that these “irregular activities are carried out by unscrupulous people who, taking advantage of the lack of experience of some users on new technologies, have scammed using the method called phishing ”.

According to the statement, the modus operandi is carried out through a false intermediation between the scammer and the user, serving to deceive the victims by posing as persons or representatives of institutions, in order to induce the user to reveal confidential information “or by inviting them to click on deceptive links, called malware, to steal your money and other digital assets. “

In this sense, the Superintendency has established contact with the competent authorities of the State’s investigation and security body, in order to take the respective legal and criminal actions against those responsible for these computer thefts and avoid similar events in the future.

“Consequently, the entire community is advised that the official platforms of the regulatory entities in the matter of cryptoactives are the portal www.patria.org.ve, the official page of Sunacrip www.sunacrip.gob.ve and the Banco de Venezuela platforms through its BdV Empresas and Clavenet Personal products, as well as all the bank’s ticket offices, and exchanges duly authorized by Sunacrip,” the instance said in the statement.
