Payment with cryptocurrencies begins to spread in Venezuela

The alliance between Cryptobuyer and Mega Soft, will allow companies like Farmatodo, Cines Unidos, EPA, among others, to accept the use of digital assets for purchases

Payment with cryptocurrencies in Venezuela is becoming more and more important, as businesses begin to adopt this method.

Recently, an alliance between the Panamanian exchange Cryptobuyer, with the point of sale company Mega Soft, which has a network of 20,000 commercial establishments in the region, was unveiled.

Those businesses that are affiliated to the Merchant Server network, will now be able to accept cryptocurrencies as a payment method.

This is how the integration of Cryptobuyer Pay will allow affiliated businesses to accept this type of payment and settle said funds in fiat money, or to keep them as digital assets.

The list of companies that stand out includes Farmatodo, Cines Unidos, Excelsior Gama, Ferretería EPA and Central Madeirense, which by June could start working with this payment mechanism.

Jorge Farías, CEO of Cryptobuyer, commented on how highly satisfied he was with this new achievement, stating that it has been a long and successful process, where a professional company with a long history in the market, such as Mega Soft, finds a benefit in accepting cryptocurrencies as a form of payment for clients.

“This is the beginning of a definitive trend where we will see how new technologies are presented as a real alternative for financial inclusion”, he explained.
