Wozniak: Bitcoin should be the universal currency of the internet

The co-founder of Apple said that the cryptocurrency has a "profitable" future, so he supports its technological development

Although he has never invested in the world of cryptocurrencies, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said he firmly believes in the future of Bitcoin and its potential, and even pointed out that “it should become the currency of the web world indisputably in some point. “

“I really believe in what Jack Dorsey (CEO of Twitter and Square) says, which doesn’t mean that I definitely think it will happen, but I really hope so, it seems a very pure way of thinking”, said in an interview during the Money 20/20 conference in Amsterdam.

In addition, he spoke positively about cryptocurrencies in general, especially those that limit the existing number of their currencies, although he stressed that he hasn’t invested in any (nor does he intend to do so at some point in the future), but supports its technological development.

On the other hand, Wozniak commented that all other cryptocurrencies tend to sacrifice something that Bitcoin already has, so he gives his full support to that asset. “For example, being completely decentralized and not having any kind of central control is one of the first things that must be sacrificed in order for your business model to be profitable”, said the renowned developer.
