Swiss Association Crypto Valley renews its team

The board of directors of the agency will diversify its membership and include two outstanding women to form a strong and more inclusive ecosystem

The Swiss association Crypto Valley, created in 2017 and with more than a thousand members, all men, opened the applications for the elections on September 20, where 43 outstanding women in new economy, blockchain and other key areas participated .

The board of directors of the association decided to include two females in their workforce, which would allow them to perform functions similar to those of their male colleagues.

The president of Crypto Valley, Oliver Bussmann, was re-elected last June, as well as four board members. The fact generated dissatisfaction and rejection for the lack of transparency.

From within the association, some members have considered that the decision to incorporate women with extensive knowledge in the area of blockchain, cryptocurrency, bank security, finance, is a significant sign of its openness. As a result, the board of directors will expand the number of members from five to seven on September 20, and the two vacancies will be filled by women.

It is important to point out that among the functions of the CVA are to promote the blockchain industry worldwide, develop self-regulatory codes of conduct, keep in touch with the cantonal authorities of the town of Zug -where the headquarters are located- and monitor the federal regulators.
