WhatsApp will hide phone numbers in communities
The instant messaging platform will publish a new function related to communities
WhatsApp launched a new feature that allows you to preserve the privacy of phone numbers within communities, according to WABetainfo.
This feature is currently only available to Beta users and its main purpose is to safeguard users’ privacy by keeping their phone numbers hidden in community chats.
This privacy option has been tested for several months and is now being rolled out to beta users.
Once this privacy feature is enabled, only community chat administrators will be able to access participant phone numbers.
