WhatsApp suffered problems in Europe, South America and Asia

For a few hours the platform stopped sending photos and voice notes, although the process remained normal when sending and receiving text messages and videos

The famous instant messaging platform WhatsApp presented its first fall of 2020 affecting the operation of its services for users in Europe, South America and Asia. And as it had been announced since last year, the company owned by Facebook has been presenting problems that prevent the enjoyment of its services.

According to the reports announced by users through Twitter, the fault originated on Sunday, January 19 at 12:00 p.m. and until 2:00 p.m., where according to the complaints the platform did not allow sending photos or voice notes, although the process remained normal when sending and receiving text messages and videos.

Unlike the past inconveniences, this time the company has reported that the new failure was generated in the aforementioned regions, although some parts of Latin America have also experienced this problem despite not being reflected in the Downdetector analysis.

Although the problem lasted a few hours it is known that at least this time neither Instagram nor Facebook were affected at any time.

However, an official statement is expected by the subsidiary company, Facebook, informing the origin of the ruling.
