WhatsApp now allows you to transfer chat from Android to iOS

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg reported that WhatsApp enabled this option that many users have been waiting for a long time

WhatsApp already allows the transfer of conversation history, photos, videos and voice messages from an Android device to an iPhone while maintaining its end-to-end encryption.

The possibility of carrying out this transfer was launched last year to enable the transfer of data from an iPhone to an Android, starting with the Samsung Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. Now, the owner of the instant messaging app, Mark Zuckerberg, has announced the extension of this feature in a Facebook post.

Zuckerberg says that from now on, WhatsApp will allow the transfer of chat history, images, videos and audios from an Android device to an iPhone, and it will do so safely.

The co-founder and CEO of Meta stressed that the process will keep the point-to-point encryption of these files intact during the procedure, which has been recognized as one of the most requested by its user base.

The specialized portal WABetaInfo explains that, for the migration process to be successful, the user must have Android version 5 onwards of the operating system installed on their device and iOS 15.5 on their iPhone.
