Venezuelans must apply for a stamped visa to enter Panama

The government of Panama established the requirement of Stamped Visa for Venezuelans to enter the country through decree number 77 of August 24

Panama established new rules for the entry of Venezuelan citizens to the territory from this August 24, through Decree number 77 that establishes the requirement of Stamped Visa.

The Decree was published in the Official Gazette number 29,606, where this requirement is clearly stipulated for foreigners of Venezuelan nationality who wish to enter the Central American country. The procedure must be carried out at the Panamanian Consular Office of the country where they are located.

Exceptions to this decision, related to requests made before August 24, 2022, will be addressed in accordance with the provisions of Executive Decree No. 612 of October 22, 2018.

On the other hand, Article 2 states that: “Exempted from the provisions of this Executive Decree are foreigners of Venezuelan nationality who have a valid visa or residence, duly issued by some of the countries included in Article 1 of Executive Decree No. 521 of August 6, 2018”.
