Venezuela will have five consular offices in Colombia

In the next few days, Venezuela will open five consulates in Colombia, according to the ambassador in that country, Carlos Martínez

The Venezuelan ambassador in Colombia, Carlos Martínez, reported this Tuesday that five consular offices will soon be opened in the neighboring country to meet the needs of compatriots.

According to statements by the Venezuelan official, the consulates could be operational in the next 20 days, in Medellín, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Bogotá and Riohacha.

In statements by Martínez to Caracol Radio, during an interview, he declared that the Bucaramanga consulate will most likely open its doors again before the end of this year.

“Our goal is that, once we have the consular device, we will be able to meet the demand of Venezuelan citizens who live in Colombia today and who require consular support,” said Martínez.

In April of this year, the office of the Venezuelan consulate in Cúcuta began its functions “within the framework of the resumption of relations between the two sister nations.”
