TikTok will allow direct purchases

The social network will expand its partnership with Shopify to facilitate its users the possibility of purchasing products from its platform

The social network TikTok announced that it will expand its partnership with Shopify to offer its users the ability to directly buy “products proposed by content creators on its platform.”

In the middle of last year TikTok signed a Shopify alliance, where users of this Canadian company could advertise through the social network.

TikToK business activity president Blake Chandlee noted that “sellers will be able to create a mini-boutique on TikTok and include links to products directly in their videos featured on the platform, which has 100 million users only in the United States.”

He also indicated that the company will provide the creation of attractive and interesting content in order to motivate consumers “directly to purchase online.”

The ultimate goal of all social networks is to transform the notoriety and frequency of its users into financial transactions. TikTok took a while to “monetize its content, enter the advertising business last year and now  the online commerce.”
