TikTok users will be able to enjoy a better experience on tablets and foldable phones, thanks to the new update to the platform’s interface.
On large screens, interaction will be optimized thanks to changes that “seek to make video viewing and navigation more comfortable on these larger screens, responding to the growth of new models and user preference for these alternatives.”
TikTok has noted that the update includes improvements to aspects such as video clarity and quality, which translates into a more immersive visual experience. “In addition, three key aspects of the interface will be optimized: video quality, navigation and use in landscape mode.”
Users will have new navigation bars at the top and bottom of the screen that will make access to the app’s functions and tabs much easier.
Additionally, it will include support for landscape mode, with which the user will be able to rotate their devices for a more comfortable viewing. “The video will be centered on the screen, with two gray areas on the sides to focus attention on the content.”
Another novelty is that the app is now compatible with any orientation. This makes it easier for the user to adapt the video in both portrait and landscape mode, regardless of how the device is held.
