The Greats of the LVBP: Venezuelan baseball celebrates a season marked by talent and history

Players, coaches, and key figures who defined the 2025-2026 season were recognized. Hernán Pérez and Balbino Fuenmayor were among the honorees

The 2025-2026 Greats of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) gala brought together the leading figures of Venezuelan baseball to recognize the players, coaches, and key figures who defined the season.

The event was dedicated to David Concepción, a legend of Venezuelan baseball and a historical figure in the LVBP (Venezuelan Professional Baseball League), in a tribute that evoked his legacy both on and off the field. His name was one of the most applauded in an event filled with respect and sporting remembrance.

During the ceremony, the main individual awards of the season were presented, highlighting decisive performances that defined their high level of competition.

Jagi: “Carry the spirit of Venezuela with you always”

In this celebratory context, Jagi Caps accompanied the event as a sponsor, adding its presence to a gathering where baseball, identity, and Venezuelan sporting culture took center stage. Their caps became part of the event’s atmosphere, blending seamlessly into the awards ceremony, which celebrated the tradition, present, and future of the LVBP, as it coincided with, or perhaps served as a prelude to, the start of the season’s Grand Final, which kicked off this Tuesday in Puerto La Cruz and is being broadcast by Venevisión.

Jagi caps focus on combining style, comfort, and personality, highlighting their presence in urban trends and important collaborations.

The 2025-2026 edition of “Los Grandes” reaffirmed the league’s historical weight and the value of honoring those who have built its legacy, with an eye toward the future of Venezuelan baseball.

LVBP’s big ones

During the day when baseball games paused, as it was the off day between the Round Robin and the Grand Final, these awards celebrating the most outstanding players and manager of the season were presented at the Pestana Caracas Premium City & Conference Hotel.

Hernán Pérez and Balbino Fuenmayor were the main protagonists, each winning two awards: they both shared the Producer of the Year award; in addition, Pérez won Comeback Player of the Year, and Fuenmayor took home the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

Among the other award winners were Jesús Reyes (Setup of the Year), Silvino Bracho (Closer of the Year), Ricardo Sánchez (Pitcher of the Year), Jadher Areinamo (Rookie of the Year), and Yadier Molina (Manager of the Year).
