Uruguay launches platform to facilitate cryptocurrency adoption

Criptala is a new platform launched in Uruguay for buying and selling cryptocurrencies

Uruguay takes another step towards the adoption of cryptocurrencies with the launch of the Criptala platform in partnership with the RedPagos collection network.

The bitcoin buying and selling company, Criptala, recently signed an agreement with the collection platform in the country to expedite the trading of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the national market, according to a publication on the Ámbito portal.

According to the information provided to the media, the bitcoin buying and selling procedure will be simple. “When buying or selling bitcoin and other digital assets, the user must choose the RedPagos option from the platform and then go to a store with their identity card or voucher, to receive money, pay in cash, or use credit or debit cards.”

A minimum and a maximum amount will be established for the purchase and sale of the cryptocurrency, starting with $50 and ending with $3,000. For a purchase greater than the established maximum, the client must ask the company for advice on a personalized service.

Juan Becerra, CEO of Criptala, stressed that the company is specialized in the technology sector, but is offering a service with cryptocurrencies to boost its adoption in the country.

Criptala’s client portfolio is currently 3,500 users and more than 10,000 transactions have been made so far. Registration on the platform can be done with the Gmail email or with the personal account on Facebook.
