Students in Georgia to receive crypto classes

The new study program will include financial education and cryptocurrencies for high school students

The Georgia House of Representatives has approved a bill exclusively for the entity’s educational system, exhorting education professionals to implement an educational program aimed at financial education and cryptocurrencies.

The program approved by the House this March 8, with a vote of 162-2, was sponsored by six Republican candidates and has been sent to the Senate for further deliberation, and in said project they are made up of 16 areas of financial knowledge suitable for students in tenth through eleventh grade.

The text specifies: “The State Board of Education shall prescribe a program of study in personal financial literacy for students to complete during high school.”

The intention is to educate high school students with basic knowledge of cryptocurrencies, in the financial world context and the importance of this topic in current times.

The program includes questions such as: “Is Bitcoin the currency of the future?”, “Can Bitcoin replace the euro?” and “Do you trust your currency?”.
