Scotland Clinic offers to treat cryptocurrency addicts

Depending on the therapy, patients must commit at least to two weeks of treatment, which can be extended to six weeks

The Castle Craig Clinic, located in Scotland, has created a program with which it hopes to treat “addicts to cryptocurrencies“.

The site, which specializes in the fight against all types of addictions since 1988, has treated more than 10,000 patients in different areas. So it aims to enter the “future of the economy” and help those who may end up hooked to the operations of these currencies whose volatility can make them rich or poor in a minute.

“The fluctuating and high-risk cryptocurrency market attracts the problematic player”, explained Chris Burn, a specialist in addictions at the Clinic.

“They provide excitement and an escape from reality. Bitcoin, for example, has been the subject of strong exchanges and huge profits and losses have been achieved. It’s a classic bubble situation“, he said.

Depending on the therapy, patients must commit at least to two weeks of treatment, which can be extended to six weeks.
