According to the BrandZ ranking of consultancy Kantar Millward Brown, Amazon became in the third most valuable brand in the world, behind Google and Apple, according to market analysts.

Google is still number one, followed by Apple. In the list there are 14 brands of China, the first of them Alibaba, which is in ninth place.

Amazon’s growth has included investment in transformative innovation, beyond its Core Business. The risk here is much greater, since the company goes beyond the familiarity of its main business and assumes new competitors.

For its part, Amazon Web Services offers cloud computing services to companies. Its origins are born from Amazon’s need to optimize its internal operations. Jeff Bezos decided to turn that work into a new offer. Introduced in 2006, AWS has been a tremendous success. Even the CIA is using AWS.
