Ecuadorian political organizations must elect their representatives and subsequently register their candidacy for the general elections.

“The National Electoral Council (CNE) explained that the pre-candidates must be elected in the primary elections and then complete the registration of their candidacies.”

In the elections on February 9, 2025, 78 qualified political organizations will participate, including 17 national and 61 provincial.

Some names are already known, others not so much. Each party is ready to elect its representative; There are also participants without a party to represent them. The current president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, appears on the lists, as he intends to run for re-election.

In the electoral process of February 2025, the country will elect its next president, vice president, 151 legislators, and five Andean parliamentarians for the period 2025-2029.
