Ebrahim Raisí, President of Iran, arrived in Venezuela this Monday to start his tour of Latin America
The tour of the President of Iran Ebrahim Raisí through Latin America began this Monday with his arrival in Venezuela, to meet with the President of the Caribbean nation, Nicolás Maduro.
Raisí arrived at the Maiquetía International Airport, where he was received with honors by Foreign Minister Yván Gill.
The tour of the Iranian President includes Cuba and Nicaragua, nations with which Iran also seeks to strengthen “strategic relations.” According to the Mehr agency, Ebrahim Raisí’s visit to Latin America “will mark a turning point in the deepening of their ties.”
Venezuela and Iran have strengthened their ties in recent years, particularly in energy matters.
