Number of millionaires with bitcoins grew by 300%

Bitcoin has left a significant footprint by raising the number of US dollar millionaires to staggering numbers

In its 16th year of existence, Bitcoin has left a significant footprint by raising the number of US dollar millionaires to staggering numbers. Recent data reveal that the number of wallets with at least $1 million in btc has experienced an impressive 300% increase since early 2023.

At this time, Bitcoin is positioned as the ninth most valuable asset in the world, commemorating its fifteenth birthday. Fifteen years after the mining of the genesis block, the market capitalization of Bitcoin is around 900 billion dollars.

The past year has marked a renaissance for Bitcoin hodlers, who have witnessed an impressive 160% increase in dollar terms, thus surpassing the protracted bear market.

According to Glassnode’s analysis, the number of Bitcoin “millionaires” has surpassed 91,000. Measured as single addresses with a balance of at least 1 million, this figure, although it has not yet reached the all-time highs of November 2021, represents almost four times more than on January 3, 2023.

Oliver Velez, a leading analyst, highlighted the transformation of bitcoin as it became the ninth most valuable asset in the world in less than 15 years, surpassing 7,963 other assets in the process.
