Windows 11 barely has 3 % adoption

An investigation determined that the Windows 11 operating system has not had a massive acceptance by users

Windows 11 has just turned a year since its distribution began, but its adoption rate is close to 3 %, I feel the immediately previous version is the one that gains in popularity.

In order to update a computer to Windows 11, it must have minimum requirements that guarantee its operation, such as a 64-bit processor with at least 1GHz or two or more cores, as well as a RAM of at least 4GB and capacity internal 64GB or more, among other features.

Although it is possible to manually install Windows 11 on computers that do not meet the minimum specifications required by Microsoft, these computers may have problems with subsequent updates.

Lansweeper, a provider of an IT asset management platform, estimates that only 57.26 % of workstations are eligible for automatic upgrade for meeting CPU requirements, a percentage that grows if you look at those of RAM memory (92.85%).

In the case of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), only 64.57 % meet the specifications, according to data from this company, from 30 million Windows computers from 60,000 organizations.

On the other hand, Windows 11 began to be distributed on October 5, 2021, and a later it is estimated that it has an adoption rate of 2.61 %, 1.17 % more than in April, compared to 81.87 % of penetration presented by Windows 10, and still below that of Windows 7 (3.38%).
