Mozilla removes the Lite version from your browser

Officially, the company withdrew these applications from Google Play and Apple's App Store, after having withdrawn support

Mozilla removed the light version of its browser for Android mobiles, Firefox Lite, from the official Google Play and Apple App Store platforms due to the end of its support, and recommended its users to switch to its other lightweight app, Firefox Focus.

The Mozilla consortium had previously announced the end of support for Firefox Lite as of June 30, with version 2.6.1 being the last to receive support and, therefore, security updates.

The end of support for Firefox Lite is due to the addition of new features over the last year to the main redesigned Android app, as well as the existence of another lightweight app, Firefox Focus.

Firefox Lite users will not be able to keep information that they saved such as bookmarks when uninstalling the application, but other data such as screenshots taken with the browawe will remain on the computer.

After the withdrawal of the application from the App Store and Google Play, which has now been finalized, Mozilla has reported that Firefox Lite users will be able to continue using the app, although it recommends switching to Firefox Focus or the new one Firefox main app for Android.
