Mobile applications lead job search in Spain

This is one of the main conclusions of a study conducted by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) of Spain, which reveals that a high percentage of job searches go through the cell phone first.

Undoubtedly, the technology, the Internet and the variety of wireless devices allow faster information on job offers. According to the INE, “in the last year more than one million people have found work through portals and specific applications -excluding public employment offices-, specifically, in the question asked to the respondents by the INE references were made to websites such as the Infojobs portal or the LinkedIn professional profile social network “.

Spain has on average 30 million Internet users in a range of 16 to 74 years. Of this universe, 1.08 million people have indicated in the INE survey have found a fixed job or to increase their income through digital tools this year.

Through social networks, employment platforms and related portals the search is faster and more efficient. On the other hand, Internet users have the opportunity to obtain reliable data from companies with vacancies through their profiles on social networks or directly in their emails.

The main users of the employment platforms are professionals dedicated to the world of technology, but also users with technical and university studies. These segments are joined by manual workers, recent graduates and freelancers.

There are thousands of pages that include job offers and those interested rely on their search in digital tools and mobile applications. In this way it is possible to complete surveys or fill out profiles that include the job summary of the interested party, who can then be contacted for an interview that can also be via Skype, Hangouts or a video call.
