Microsoft is working on improving its tools

During the company's annual IT developer event, CEO Satya Nadella spoke about Teams, Azure, and more

This week the 2021 edition of the annual Ignite event is taking place, where Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella spoke about the improvements that the company will bring soon.

In Nadella’s words, there are five keys that will characterize the next generation in technology: ubiquitous and decentralized computing, data sovereignty and environmental intelligence, empowered creators and communities, expanding economic opportunities for workers, and safety by design.

In Ignite, for example, Microsoft Mesh has been seen in use, a new development of mixed reality that creates a real sense of presence. Thanks to it people who are even on different continents can live an experience analogous to what they would have while in the same physical space, interacting even with 3D content or with each other through Mesh-enabled applications on any platform or device. Mesh will integrate with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Dynamics 365 and allow the company’s partner community to build a wide variety of new experiences and applications.

Regarding Teams, the CEO announced the addition of new presenter views for meetings, and discussed future feature development around Microsoft Viva.

On the other hand, at Ignite there has also been news from Azure. Microsoft indicated that it is preparing new features and updates to extract the maximum potential of the cloud. Azure Percept, for example, will help customers bring the power of AI to edge computing environments.
