Microsoft announces new security solutions

The technology company prepares new tools aimed at improving the prediction and prevention of breakdowns

Microsoft announced the new solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), which aim to improve security through functions such as the prediction and prevention of breakdowns, as well as the incorporation of weather forecasts to improve shipments.

The US company presented these developments in the framework of the IoT Solutions World Congress, the largest international event of IoT solutions, according to its organizers, which started this week in Barcelona and will continue until Thursday.

The IoT includes from mobile phones to smart speakers or other devices connected to the Internet. This market is growing and, according to IDC, it is expected to reach 41.6 billion connected devices in 2025.

During its participation in the congress held in Barcelona, ​​the company highlighted the importance of “an intelligent and secure Internet of Things”, as explained in a statement. That is why it added new functions for customers of their Azure solutions for companies among Sphere, which will be widely available in February 2020.

Sphere is an “end-to-end” solution that targets companies to control their facilities and equipment connected to the Internet in a secure manner, including products with certified security such as chips and operating system solutions.

Among the new tools from Microsoft to Azure customers, Azure IoT Central stands out, an IoT application platform that allows developing and maintaining solutions of this technology, which adds new prices for 2020, 11 new designs according to the business sector and support for API (application development interfaces), among other functions.
