Meta works on a new monetization tool

The company that owns Facebook is developing a way to carry out monetization within the metaverse

Meta announced that it is beginning to test new tools and different forms of monetization in its metaverse, Horzion Worlds, where creators will be able to buy and sell digital goods, services, and experiences.

Horizon Worlds is the first virtual reality (VR) metaverse created by Meta, which is currently available in the United States and Canada and can be accessed by users with the Oculus Quest headset.

In this universe, users can create their own virtual worlds and scenarios, as well as travel through those belonging to other users and interact with them, keeping a minimum distance of 1.2 meters.

Now, the company has made new options available to some companies and creators over 18 years of age from the aforementioned countries so that they can find the business model that best suits their needs.

“The metaverse, by the nature of not being limited by physical space, will bring a new level of creativity and open up new opportunities for the next generation of creators and businesses to pursue their passions and create livelihoods,” the company said in a statement release.

In order to carry out this action, Meta expanded its Horizon Creators Fund of 10 million dollars that it already announced in October of last year to encourage users to be part of this project, which is still in beta phase.
