Maduro replaced the head of several Venezuelan ministries

Nicolás Maduro made changes this Wednesday at the head of the Ministries of Health, Women, Indigenous Peoples and Fisheries

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that four ministries changed their heads, including Diva Guzmán, who will now be the Minister for Women and Gender Equality.

She will assume the position left by Margaud Godoy on January 29 when she was appointed ambassador to Honduras. The second change announced was the appointment of Clara Vidal as Minister of Indigenous Peoples.

“Clara Vidal will assume the leadership of the Ministry of Popular Power for Indigenous Peoples, in order to bring our original sisters and brothers comprehensive care and guarantee of their fundamental rights. It is forbidden to fail them!,” he expressed.

Magaly Gutiérrez Viña will lead the Ministry of Health

The third change was the appointment of Olga Luisa Figueroa, secretary of the PSTV in La Guaira, who assumes the Ministry for Fisheries and Aquaculture. The official was already attached to the fisheries cabinet as deputy minister.

Finally, Maduro appointed Magaly Gutiérrez Viña as head of the Ministry of Health, replacing Carlos Alvarado.
