Kia and Hyundai launch solar charging system tech_3

It is a system of solar panels for the roof and the hood of vehicles that will allow the recharge of the battery of hybrid and electric models

The automotive industry advances hand in hand with new technologies to offer innovative systems that provide comfort to users and contribute to the preservation of the environment. One example is the recent creation of South Korean manufacturers Kia and Hyundai.

These are solar panels that will allow the recharge of the battery in hybrid and electric cars once installed on the roof and the bonnet. It is estimated that the devices will be able to generate up to 100 watts of energy.

The solar energy generation system tech_3 offers three types of plate manufactured with silicon. The first will be located on the roofs of cars and according to environmental conditions will allow a battery recharge of 30-60%.

The second model was intended for combustion vehicles and consists of a semi-transparent panoramic sunroof. This will allow sunlight to enter the cabin and facilitate recharging the battery.

Finally, the third model of solar panels -currently under test- was designed for the hood of electric carsThe initiative of Kia and Hyundai is also aimed at complying with the regulations on the emission of CO2, increasingly stringent around the world and that would result in the efficiency of vehicles as well as a decrease in fuel consumption.
