Managed directly by the trading board of Intelinvest, by the investment director,Paul Leiva, accompanied by Rodrigo Aguiar, associate trader of the firm, the brokers house and investment advisory company presents its new product: the Momentum account (IMA).
According to Leiva, “Intelinvest’s Momentum (IMA) is a new, innovative and different product, designed for bold clients seeking medium-high performance in the financial markets.”
The specialist and advisor stressed that the objective is to achieve an estimated net return of between 8% and 16% per year, after costs, with a controlled risk management where the preservation of capital is the basis of investment management.
As the interviewee indicates, from its creation in June 2019 until the end of November, “our clients have obtained a net return of 7.14% in the period, which translates into an annual return of 14.28%.”
The fundamental strategy focuses on investing in the stock market, in the North American market, that have “momentum”; it means, in upward or downward trends.
“This account has the custody at Interactive Brokers, an institution based in the United States. It is currently the largest broker in the world for accounts of this type,” said Leiva.
In addition, it has the protection of the SIPC, which is the US investor protection corporation and covers up to USD 500,000 in cash and securities managed in this account, in the hypothetical case that the custodian (Interactive Brokers) is insolvent.
IMA advantages
An advantage of this product is that Intelinvest refers and opens the investment account in the United States to the client, in which all investments are carried out. “The client allows Intelinvest to manage directly the assets of the account. In this way the client is the owner of all the assets and Intelinvest acts just as an administrator of the investments,” said the executive.
Another important advantage is that even before adverse market conditions, “the Momentum account (IMA) is capable of generating returns, since it not only identifies opportunities and investments when stocks rise, but also identifies opportunities and investments when stocks fall.”
