Huawei launches its new smartwatch Watch GT 2 Pro

The device functions for different types of training and sports, including golf and skiing

Huawei has presented this Thursday during its annual HDC 2020 developers event its novelties in wearables, led by its new smartwatch Watch GT 2 Pro, which detects one hundred types of training – including golf and skiing – as well as a new version of its wireless headphones FreeBuds Pro with dynamic AI noise cancellation.

Huawei’s new Watch GT 2 Pro smartwatch features a “luxurious premium design” composed of sapphire glass, aluminum body and ceramic back, as stated by the CEO of Huawei’s Consumer unit, Richard Yu.

It is available in a classic and a sports version, which supports more than a hundred different types of exercise, including a new golf mode that measures the speed of the players’ swing, as well as others for skiing and snowboarding. Another function allows you to return to the beginning of the route while hiking.

Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro has two weeks of battery life and fast charge function, as well as oxygen saturation detection (SP02) and is compatible with more health applications.

The new smartwatch is priced at 329 euros for the sports version and 349 euros for the classic model, and will be available this September.

New range of Watch Fit bracelets

The Chinese company has also presented the new Huawei Watch Fit, a hybrid between an activity bracelet and a sports watch, with a 1.64-inch screen, 34 grams of weight and support for 96 types of training, for which it provides personalized monitoring.

Watch Fit has 200 models of dials for the screen and with the ‘always-on display’ function. It allows you to capture photos from your mobile through a single click, and its battery provides ten days of autonomy.

Huawei’s new ‘wearable’ will go on sale for 129 euros and will be available from this September.
