Google will let users to remove trace automatically

Google implements automatic removal controls so anyone can clear their location history and activity data

Google Account activity controls allow users to turn on or off the collection of location or activity data, both on the web and in the application. The information collected and saved is used to make products useful to everyone.

Google also stores all YouTube history, voice commands, and mobile device information. At the moment, these controls are managed manually.

In turn, the consortium reports: “We work to keep the data private and secure, and we’ve heard comments that we need to provide simpler ways for users to manage or delete it.

In addition to the traditional options, there will be the new self-elimination controls, which will allow the user to set the time they want their activity data to be stored, 3 or 18 months. Data prior to that period will be automatically deleted.

According to Google, the controls will first include location history, web and application activity, and will be implemented in the coming weeks.
