Google Authenticator allows transferring accounts to other devices
The transfer occurs through a verification code generator that is done in two steps
Google has updated its Authenticator application for iOS to introduce the possibility of transferring accounts to another device, available since May for mobiles with Android operating system.
Authenticator establishes an additional layer of security for accessing customer accounts by generating two-step verification codes on the phone.
Since May, the Android version allows transferring the accounts in which it is used to a new computer.
Now the latest version for iOS (v3.1.0) has introduced the ability to transfer accounts to another device. For example. in case the user switches to a new iPhone. This feature, however, is limited to ten accounts at a time and requires deletion from the old device.
Also, the update has introduced a new design in the application and support for dark mode, as reported on its page in the App Store.
