Twitter authorizes the use of security keys
The social network added the necessary support for clients to use this mechanism to verify their identity with two-factor authentication
The social network Twitter added support for users to log into their platform account with a security key in two-factor authentication from their mobile phones with Android and iOS operating systems.
With two-factor authentication, users can add an additional layer of security to their account and thus, instead of using a single password, they can also use a security code or key.
Until now, security key support in two-factor authentication was only available on the desktop version of Twitter and now the company has extended it for iOS and Android devices.
“It is important to protect your account on all your devices. We have updated the two-factor authentication so that now you can log in with your physical security key on both Android and iOS, as well as on the desktop”, the social network highlighted through its account on the platform.
Users can only add a security key to their account through the desktop version, but once it is done, they can use it to log in from their mobile phone, as explained by the company in its Help Center.
