Facebook suspends apps due to misuse of data
About 200 of them are being analyzed to safeguard the information of the users
Facebook executives announced on Monday May 14 the suspension of about 200 applications of its social network for allegedly misusing a large amount of data. It is the first stage of a deep internal investigation.
Ime Archibong, vice president of product association of Facebook, has indicated that they follow the instructions of the CEO of the company, Mark Zuckerberg, raised last March.
Criticism against social network policies was not long in coming, after the hard blow suffered by both Zuckerberg and the corporation for alleged privacy scandals during the first quarter of 2018.
Despite these attacks, Facebook managed to recover a large part of its market value, with a 63% increase in profits, as well as an increase in the number of users by the end of April.
