Facebook is considering the creation of a stablecoin for WhatsApp

The social network wants to have its own token, which will be linked to the US dollar, for internal use among users

Facebook would be about to convert WhatsApp into the second instant messaging application to accept cryptocurrencies.

The giant of social networks is considering the possibility of developing its own digital asset, which will help users send money to each other.

This was indicated by Bloomberg in a report, where it explained that the company created by Mark Zuckerberg would anchor the currency to the US dollar.

This would help avoid any type of inconvenience in terms of volatility, to also ensure that the transfers maintain their value to the recipient and they can thus bring the token to fiat money.

According to the report, Facebook would be just working on the development of the concept and strategy for this cryptocurrency, so there is still nothing definitively written about this matter.
